"Kana"
In November 2003, Kana arrived in the UK from his
breeder Marjon Eshuis Franke of the Musanga
Kennel in The Netherlands. An extremely intelligent boy, it took him
little time to settle in with the Nyassa pack and was soon vying with
the others for space on Mum’s Lap! A pleasure to take to shows his
temperament is second to none, having a huge heart and full of love for
everyone.
In late 2005 his breeder, Marjon, lost his dam
Sanga in tragic circumstances. Needless to say Marjon, husband Marco and
son Mick were devastated by this sudden loss but no more so than
Sanga’s kennel mate Roora. Roora became very depressed, wouldn’t eat
and was wasting away before their eyes. It was this scenario that
presented me with one of the biggest decisions involving dogs that I
have ever had to make. While not an easy decision to make I came to the
conclusion that Kana’s place was with them, helping to ease their pain
and to prevent Roora from fading away. So it was on the 4th
February 2006 I kissed my beautiful boy goodbye as he returned with
Marjon and Marco to Musanga. His legacy in his offspring is still here
with us at Nyassa, as well as elsewhere in the UK. Having gained 2
CC’s Kana will be returning during the summer of 2006 with a view to
hopefully gaining his third CC and thus becoming a UK Champion. Thank
you Marjon for letting me “borrow” this amazing boy. GOOD LUCK KANA
my beautiful boy, see you in the summer.
